How to reach Burpham

Getting to this event will be considerably simpler if you take a Person with you as parts of the recommended routes require either Driving A Vehicle, or Dealing With Dragons.

By Road (starting from London)

You will want to get a Vehicle and find a Road called the A3. This is a long road that starts in the middle of London and goes out near a town called Kingston-on-Thames. It then crosses the M25 (which is a Very Big Road) and goes on (roughly South-South-West if your Person has a compass). After a long way it comes close to a City called Guildford, but you do Not want to go that Far. Watch for signs and when you get to about 5 miles from Guildford (on the side toward London, so if your Person is coming from the Other Way, y ou need to go Beyond Guildford and look for the road to Burpham) there is a junction with a road called the A247. Do Not take this road (If you do, by Accident, then go to Clandon, turn right on the A246, and right again after a mile, and you will reach Burpham another way). The road you want is about 1½ miles further on, past the turning to a farm, and it will take you off (on the left) to Burpham.
What you want to do then is to find a Shop called Sainsbury's. You do not Have to go in, but they will sell food and drink for any small Toys etc. who are Hungry (they do also serve Persons). Sainsbury's is on a corner, and opposite one side of it, across a road, is a cricket field. You need (or your Person needs) to go round to the opposite side of the cricket field, where there is another, parallel, road, and the Hall is down there.

By Dragon (starting from London)

First you must get to the Waterloo Dragon Station. They will want you to buy a Ticket - if you have one, your Person can help here, as the counter is quite high. Otherwise you will either need help or you will need several of you to form a pyramid so that one of you can Reach. You will want to buy a Ticket to London Road Guildford.

The Dragon will probably go from one of the Platforms right at the top of the Station, and you may need Help to get on the Dragon.
I recommend that you do not stay near the Entrance Doors, as People get on and off there a lot - if you have a Person with you, they will find you a seat, if not, try and huddle (unobtrusively) just round the corner from the doors.
It is best to get a Dragon that Goes Direct, as if you have to change Dragons part-way, you have to get off one, and then find the Other One and get on that one.

At London Road, get off, and go out of the Station, and turn left. Follow the fence round and up the hill, and you will come to a grassy bit, and then a Big Road, where you will need to turn left. (If you have come from the other direction, just go out, turn right and go up the pathway and it will lead you to the same road.

This will be a very Long Road, and for some reason, although every so often there are special lanes for People on Iron Ponies, there are no special lanes for stuffed toys. Those in charge of Groups might want to note that there are a big park and a meadow partway along. It would be Best if smaller Toys are not allowed to go roaming as you may lose them, and as it might be Hard to get them to Go On to the Revel if they're Playing in the Grass.

After a Very Long Way, you come to some Shops on the right-hand side of the Road. Your Person should be sent in to buy drinks and other Refreshments. Just beyond this, at a junction and near a Tavern/Inn/Public House, there is a road to the Left, which goes along the side of a cricket field. If you go down there (staying on the right-hand side of this smaller road) the Hall is at the bottom, just before the road turns right.

It is a small hall, but it does have a stage - a raised bit - where Stuffed Animals can sit Out Of the Way, and there is a Back Room, eminently suitable for Naps.

By Dragons (from places on the Other Side of Guildford)

You will need to catch a dragon to Guildford. You must get off there (get your Person to help if you have one, otherwise you will just have to run and climb and so forth). Then catch another dragon from the Guildford Dragon Station to London Road. Get off there and follow the directions I gave earlier.
