<Gamemaster> So the group now knows about NoBison's problem and why
he doesn't seem to have a mount to ride.
<Varjeela> It sounds to me as if the broo shaman sent you a disease
spirit. They're chaotic, of course, so that explains why you detect as
chaotic when it's active.
<Varjeela> And I'm sure the White Ladies could sort that out. Could
Mawth confirm my guess? Or do anything to correct the situation?
<NoBison> Ahh, but my shaman tried to remove it a couple of times
and ended up just mumbling
<Gamemaster> Mawth would be only vaguely aware of the White Ladies
and wouldn't be inclined that way.
<NoBison> (GM this shouldn't be too easy)
<Varjeela> But he could look at No-Bison adn tlel whether I'm right
about him being possessed by a disease spirit?
<Varjeela> (sorry: bad typing there)
<NoBison> Who are the white ladies Varjeela?
<Gamemaster> Mawth suggests that if Varjeela has ties with these
White Ladies he is ertainly willing to let them deal with the matter.
<NoBison> takes a big swig of ale
<Varjeela> "A group of Healers, dedicated to Chalana Arroy. There
are some at the temple in Pavis, and more at the Horn Gate."
<Varjeela> "I believe the Horn Gate group left Pavis to avoid the
Lunars, though I'm not sure why"
<NoBison> (looks downcast) But those are a longways from here
<Varjeela> "Thye will heal anyone without charge, though it is customary
to give them whatever you feel is fair payment"
<Varjeela> "Yes, I'm afraid I know of none closer than that."
<NoBison> (tears run into ale)
<Gamemaster> 'Very good sounding decision to me," says Mawth
<Varjeela> (Patting No-Biosn on the abck) "Don't worry, we get go
to Horn Gate once we are finished with our business here in Corflu."
<Gamemaster> "Horn gate not that far," continues the group's shaman.
"We go there soon - no worry!"
<NoBison> Well, I'll have to worship when I can I guess
<Gamemaster> With that concluded weariness descends upon the members
of the group.
<Varjeela> Surely the nearest Orlanth temple is no closer, in any
case?
<NoBison> (downs a whole tankard in one long pull) ((probable falls
unconcious))
<Gamemaster> Not sure Jane. Probably Pavis I would think...
<Varjeela> (Dodges the falling body) "Well, he was going to be sleeping
in this room in any case. I'll see the rest of you in the morning for breakfast."
<NoBison> Snorrrrrrrrrrrrr
<Varjeela> [Probably an Orlanth temple at Garhound. I don't know
of others]
<Gamemaster> It rains heavily that night and the morning arrives
with a thick fog handing over the delta.
<Varjeela> Oh, what a lovely day. Right. Breakfast.
<Gamemaster> It's Ancestor's Day in the local calendar - a day for
honouring members of the tribe who have passed on to the Spirit World.
<NoBison> Groan, Is it morning already?
<Gamemaster> Timne passess quickly...
<NoBison> Breakfast!!! (Gags) I need some ale!
<Varjeela> Is it also a day when the Issaries shrine might hold
a service (since we can't hold a market)?
<Gamemaster> Yes Varjeela. No markets but most else is fair game.
<NoBison> You all talk to Lout!
<NoBison> I mean Loud!
<Gamemaster> For those keeping track tomorrow will be the first
day of Truth Week in the month of Dark Season.
<Gamemaster> Once breakfast is completed what things do we want
to do?
<Varjeela> I was planning on visiting the Isaries shirne, and see
if anyone is holding a service there today. If not, perhaps hold one myself.
And yes, I will epxct Nijehl, as my aprentice, to be there.
<NoBison> I'm goinging to be getting over one royal hangover.
I had to get prety drunk to trust you with my tale
<Varjeela> Would a spot of Healing help No-Bison's headache, do
you think?
<Gamemaster> Indeed it should!
<Varjeela> (Sorry: dyslexic fingers today.)
<Varjeela> In that case, and with his permission, cast a Heal 1
and see if he feels better.
<NoBison> Anything, to get better!
<Gamemaster> And so NoBison receive's the spell withoutresistence
and feels immediately better as if he had not indulged the night before..
<NoBison> WOW that's great. I am indebted to you.
<Varjeela> No problem: you have worked hard for the group in the
past.
<Gamemaster> Jane: Did we ever establish exactly where the Shrine
is?
<NoBison> Today I will go where ever you go
<Varjeela> Errm.. I'll have to look back through the logs for that.
RoC says no such shrine, but you had one somewhere
<NoBison> I don't remember reading where it was in the notes
<Gamemaster> Did you visit it before?
<Varjeela> It's mentioned in log session 3, "Corflu", but no details.
Before we went over to Delphi, I think.
<Varjeela> So I'll have to look back through emails...
<Gamemaster> OK. I'll do the same aftwerwards. For now let's consider
the Shrine to be part of the complex owned by the Tolkazzi family
<Varjeela> OK. I'm browsing through and have found the stuff at
the Zola Fel shrine, but no Issaries as yet.
<Varjeela> If it's at the Tolkazzi family place, thats' great. I
can chat and pick up gossip about family memebrs while I'm there
<Varjeela> Found it! "No - Varjeela doesn't know where for sure
the temple is
<Varjeela> only that there is one. .
<NoBison> Say, my stats don't list any magic for me surely I should
have a couple of spirit combat spells
<Gamemaster> I take it the group intends to head there so perhaps
I'll take a moment to describe the town.
<Varjeela> Please do
<NoBison> Aye
<Gamemaster> Ahhh. The tall ugly innkeep probably knows...
<Varjeela> And I thought I asked him, last night...?
<NoBison> sorry I probably distracted you
<Gamemaster> When asked he tells you that he has heard that the
Tolkazzi family has a private shrine on their holding at the northeast
end of town.
<Varjeela> Does he know if the Tolkazzis are at home at present?
If so, I'llpay a visit.
<Gamemaster> Mmmm. Pretty sure we never dealt with it.
<Gamemaster> Yes, there's appartently always some family members
and servants around.
<Gamemaster> Stepping out into the cool morning mist the group finds
themselves in a vacant market square facing northeast.
<Varjeela> An empty market. How depressing.
<NoBison> I'll just keep an eye out. I don't want this fine
lady to have any problems with ruffians.
<Gamemaster> To their right is a squalid low wooden structure. To
the left is a larger complex in better shape where numerous crafters have
set up shop. Since its Ancestor's Day nothing is happening there either.
<Gamemaster> A narrow alley (unpaved) goes in between the two towards
the northeast.
<Varjeela> Why, thank you. I don't expect there will be any trouble
here, but the sight of such an impressive warrior should make sure of it.
<Varjeela> Do we know what the "squalid low wooden structure" is?
<Gamemaster> Taking that route they enter an open area at the center
of which is a well.
<NoBison> (look slightly embarrased)
<Gamemaster> They are warehouses.
<Varjeela> (As I recall, No-Bison is BIG, right? Never seen his
stats, of course)
<NoBison> Yes above average
<Gamemaster> Passing by the well they see the southern corner of
the stone "Corflu TRrade Alliance House" for whom they are working.
<Varjeela> And there's no Issaries shrine there?
<Gamemaster> The group would follow the southeastern face of the
building and pass by another well. Tghere's also some fishing equipment
shacks and Boatmen's Hall to the right.
<Gamemaster> No. Etyries is the Lunar trade deity that holds sway
there.
<Varjeela> Where are all the locals doing their praying to ancestors?
At home?
<Gamemaster> Presumably.
<Gamemaster> Once passed the Boatmen's Hall the group will see the
home of the Tolkazzi family ahead.
<Gamemaster> The main door is facing them.
<Varjeela> Let's go and knock on the door, then.
<Gamemaster> Within moments the viewing port on the door opens and
a cautious female voice says "Yes, please state your business..."
<Varjeela> "I am Varjeela, an Issaries priestess visiting from Pavis.
I understand you have a shrine to Issaries here, and I wondered if I could
pay my respects to the god there"
<Gamemaster> Without a word the figure behind the door disappears.
She is not gone long though before muffled voices are heard from within
and a man appears. He looks out and scrutinizes the group standing at the
door.
<Varjeela> Wait a moment for him to speak, if he doesn't: "Good
morning".
<Gamemaster> The sound of a bolt being slid across soon follows
and the door opens.
<NoBison> Does he look as though I make him nervous If so I will
leave
<Varjeela> (Who is here, anyway? Is Mawth tagging along?)
<Gamemaster> "Please enter and wait in this room" he says pointing
to a small waiting area just off the main hall.
<Gamemaster> Yes. Mawth is here so far as I know.
<Varjeela> "Certainly". And do so.
<NoBison> I'll sit on the floor to look less intimidating.
I don't want to spoil Varjeela's worship
<Gamemaster> Several moments later an elderly woman dressed in fine
clothes appears. "Good morning to you all," she says. "it's an honour to
have a distinguished priestess here to visit us!"
<Varjeela> (Blushes slightly) "Only a fairly junior priestess, I'm
afraid. But there seem to be very few Issaries cultists here in Corflu,
except yourselves."
(And there we had to leave it.)
